The idea behind the system
Most arguments in online tournaments come from two things: people see each other's claims before they make their own, and proof is whatever a player happens to send. eFTUN removes both. Results are entered blind, the proof has one clear form, and the same written rules apply to every match, in every country, at any hour.
When two players agree, nobody needs to look at the match at all. This guide explains what happens when they agree, when they do not, and when one of them says nothing at all. The rules page has the exact wording.
Step one: both players enter the score blind
Each player enters the score without seeing the other's entry, up to 15 goals a side. If both results match, the result stands at once, and one picture is enough. It does not matter which of you uploaded it.
An agreed result does not depend on the "I am here" button. If you played and both entered the same score, it stands even if neither of you tapped.
The proof that counts
The proof is a full picture of Match History, which you will find under Extras > User Information > Match History. It is the one screen that shows the date and time, both usernames and the score together. A result card or a stats screen shows the score, but no date and no username, so it cannot show who played or when. Our Match History guide shows what to capture.
Upload right after the game, because the list may keep only your last 10 games. One picture can cover both legs of a group pairing.
When the two results differ
Same winner, different goals. If you agree on who won but not on the goals, the pictures are checked. If they do not settle it, the smaller margin stands.
Different winners. This is a real dispute. Each player gets one correction, so an honest typing mistake can be fixed. Then, 30 minutes after the last entry, the pictures are checked automatically and the dispute is settled.
No clear proof. A group dispute with no clear proof after a full day pays nobody. So uploading a clear picture is in your own interest. A knockout dispute is settled after a full day by the best reading of the evidence, and the owner decides a final.
An example
Say you win 2-1, and your opponent enters 3-1 to you by mistake. You agree on the winner, so the pictures are checked, and if they do not settle it the smaller margin stands: 2-1. Now say your opponent enters 2-1 to themselves instead. That is a real dispute, because you name different winners. Each of you can correct your entry once. If nothing changes, the pictures are checked 30 minutes after the last entry. A full Match History picture with both usernames and the score settles it, and a result your own Match History contradicts counts as false.
What the automatic check looks at
A picture used for other players' match is refused. In a dispute or a lone result, the picture is also checked automatically for its date, the usernames and the score.
- A picture from another match does not count. If it is your only proof and your opponent says you never played, you lose 3-0.
- A result your own Match History contradicts counts as false.
- Team names prove nothing, because they change freely and often copy real clubs. Usernames are what identify a player.
Every automatic decision shows its reason on the match page, so you can always see why a match ended as it did.
When only one player enters a result
A lone result stands if four things are true: you checked in, your opponent checked in, you entered it after kick-off, and your opponent had at least an hour to answer. If you did not check in, only Match History can save your result. This stops anyone from sending a score for a game that never happened.
The same logic applies to a player who turned up and then vanished. If your opponent tapped but never played, wait until check-in closes, then tap "My opponent never played". They get at least an hour to answer, or you win 3-0.
No result, no points
If you both tapped and nobody enters a result, nobody is paid. Nobody gets a free draw for tapping and not playing. In a knockout, both present with no result means one extra day, and if that happens again both players are out.
Results close at midnight eFTUN time. A late kick-off gets 90 minutes from its start. Enter your score straight after the game, and you will never need to think about this.
Disconnects and quitting
If the game recorded a result in Match History, it stands, and a replay needs both players to agree. If the game was cut off or voided after half-time, whoever was leading wins with the score at that moment, shown by a picture of the frozen screen with the score and minute. If it was cut off before half-time, or the score was level, play the whole game again in the same time. If that replay is not played, there is no result and no points.
Leaving a game you are losing never helps you, and a claim of bad connection alone changes nothing. Our connection guide covers this in detail.
False results and other penalties
- A proven false result: you lose that match 3-0 with a warning.
- A second day of false results within 60 days: removal from the cup and no registrations for 30 days.
- Missing two match days in a cup: removal from it, and your remaining matches go to your opponents.
- Four missed games in 30 days, six forfeited games, or leaving 3 cups: registrations pause for a while.
How to appeal
You have one appeal within 24 hours, by support ticket, with new evidence. The owner's decision is final. Conduct reports are separate: they never change a result, and a false report can get your account suspended.
If the site itself fails, that day's matches move to the next day and nobody gets an absence. You do not pay for our downtime.
What this means for you
Three habits cover nearly everything: enter your score straight after the game, upload a full Match History picture, and enter the truth. Do that and you will rarely need any of the rules above. When you are ready, create a free account and try a cup.
